Finding websites you visited in the past is quite simple to do with Internet Explorer. View your internet history by selecting the History and Favorites button on the upper left hand corner of your monitor. You can also access the History panel by opening Internet Explorer and press the Control key and the H key together. The History panel will open on the left side of your screen.
The History panel will display several options to view sites you have previously visited. You can search sites by date, by site, and by most visited. You can also perform a general search if you’re attempting to locate a specific website. All you need is a distinctive word or phrase from either the website address or the web page itself. In the history bar, select ‘Search History’ and enter the word or phrase in the search box.
Internet Explorer also allows users to set how many days visited sites are stored in the History panel. Internet Explorer records the last 20 sites you visited by default. To adjust the number of days in your history, click on the ‘Tool’ bar and select ‘Internet Options.’ Under the ‘General’ tab, go to the ‘Browsing History’ section and select ‘Settings.’
At the bottom of the pop-up box, under the History header, adjust the number of days Internet Explorer should save websites in the History folder by clicking the upward arrow to increase or the downward arrow to decrease. Click the ‘Ok’ button when you’re done.
